At Alex Lee, we are committed to improving the lives of our customers, guests, employees, hosts, and neighbors. Through support of area non-profit organizations, we strive to improve our communities.  Our key areas of focus include feeding the hungry and improving education in the areas where we operate.

Local Non-Profit Sponsorships

We love to bring families together at the table and in the community. We support a variety of organizations and programs that provide these opportunities. Some recent examples include art councils, museums, community theaters, symphonies, and local parks.

Improving Education

At Alex Lee, we value education and believe it should be accessible to everyone. We support local community colleges and universities; public school foundations; and local education initiatives, such as K-64 in Catawba County. We offer tuition assistance and scholarships to our employees. Through Lowes Foods, we support local schools through Cart to Class and a gift card fundraising program, called Club Cash.

Feeding Our Communities

Alex Lee supports Feeding America and its member agencies, local food pantries, and local soup kitchens in their efforts to eliminate hunger in our communities. We also conduct two food drives: Friends Feeding Friends and Bag Childhood Hunger. We have partnerships with local agencies to pick up perishable products from our stores.

Employees Giving Back

Alex Lee employees are generous with their time and give back to our communities through our employee volunteer program. Some of their projects include painting, cleaning, and landscaping for local schools and non-profits; collecting coats in the winter; raising money for cancer treatment and research; and working at Habitat for Humanity. We also have a company-wide United Way campaign and hold blood donation drives. Alex Lee employees are truly exceptional people.

Disaster Relief

Alex Lee supports the United Way, Feeding America foodbanks, and the American Red Cross in the communities where we operate. Local support makes it possible for these organizations to help when disaster strikes across the country. During a crisis, we stay in close contact with our local partners so that we can respond and help in the most impactful way possible. We focus our efforts on events that directly affect the communities where we operate, but during disasters that happen outside of our operating areas, we help these organizations raise much-needed financial assistance.

  • Donation Guidlines:

    • Alex Lee receives donation requests throughout the year.
    • Alex Lee supports verified 501(c)3 organizations.
    • Request must be submitted in writing and include organization overview, 501(c)3 status, amount requested, and purpose of the request.
    • Our primary areas of focus are feeding the hungry and education in our local communities.
    • For product donations, please contact the store manager where you shop.
    • If you are looking for cash donations for team sports, school groups, churches, or civic groups click here to learn more about Lowes Foods Club Cash.

    We wish we could support every request we receive, but there are requests that Alex Lee is unable to accommodate. They include:

    • Solicitation on our property
    • Requests for individuals
    • Political contributions
    • Requests from churches for religious purposes; however, we can consider humanitarian aid
